Our Spring Book Fair was a great success! We put over $13,000 of books into the hands of Oak Hills students and families. We collected more than $250 in donations and purchased more than $1,400 of new books for the library (see attached photo). Did you have fun at the PTA's Game Night? We bought more than $450 of books for next year’s event! And your purchases helped us to earn more than $6,000 dollars to spend this fall to expand classroom libraries and buy even more books for the school library! If you missed your chance to shop, didn't find the right book, or just can't get enough, our online Book Fair is open through May 17th and 25% of your purchase will be donated back to Oak Hills. We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our PTA, this event is a great opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school. Please also check our FAQs below to learn more about the book fair.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Book Fair, which will take place May 4-13, 2022 in the school library.
• Students will be previewing the Book Fair during school on May 4-6. Students will be shopping the Book Fair during school on May 9-13. The book fair will also be open for shopping before and after the Open House on May 5th, the Orchestra Assemblies on May 9th, and Game Night on May 11th.
• Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Book Fair. Cash, check, and credit/debit cards will also be accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Oak Hills PTA. Our school will receive 50% of all in-person sales.
• If you can’t make it to the Book Fair in person, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. Online ordering will be available May 4-17. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Our school will receive 25% of all online sales.
